Our experience was wonderful–everyone, from the moving consultant to the packers to the office staff, was professional, friendly and more than competent! We moved from MA to VA but the distance posed absolutely no, problems or concerns.
Ayer Moving provided a great moving experience during a very challenging time, moving my mom to a nursing home. Help started by recommending which smaller things I might want to move ahead of time to minimize cost based on boxing prices. The moving team was prompt and communicative, and carefully wrapped all the items. We had a complex move, with things going to 2 destinations, and they organized the truck for that. When things couldn’t be delivered at mom’s new home (2nd destination), they were supportive and patient, packed the items back up, and delivered them back to my home. They gave me nothing but support over the difficult situation, and worked hard to be cost-effective, coming in below the quoted price, even with the 3rd trip added. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Wonderful experience all around! I moved my mom from New Hampshire to Washington State, and had a very small window for the move. Ayer Moving and Storage was exceptional throughout the entire process. Since I was coordinating this move from across the country, Brian was very accommodating in terms of working on a quote for me without being there in person. On the day of the move, the movers and packers (Irwin and Gary, I think) arrived on time and got the packing and loading done quickly. A few weeks later, everything arrived in Washington State in great condition; it had all been very carefully packed, loaded and transported. (I had one small item, a curtain rod, arrive with a broken finial, and I am working to resolve that with North American. But it was not a big deal!) The final cost was slightly less than what Brian had originally quoted, and it was a very fair price for the service. If you a looking for a moving company, you cannot go wrong with Ayer Moving and Storage. Their customer service and the quality of their work is outstanding. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Movers were prompt and called ahead to let me know exact time of arrival. They hooked up the washer and dryer in the new location, set up all beds, and reassembled several items for me. The storage area in basement was set up in a way so that all items could be easily reached.
I moved locally within the same town and Ayer Moving and Storage were kind, courteous and professional. The packing was great. No broken items and plenty staff to get the truck loaded and unloaded the following day. They quoted for the work and came in on budget. I referred them to a friend of mine and they had a wonderful experience too.
The best service I have ever had. The move was picture perfect from the start, called and spoke with Pam and she was wonderful in helping me on scheduling the move and at the final bill. Brian was great at coming to my house and giving me a quote (by the way right to the second on the quote.) Angel Lewis and Bobby worked like clockwork (in the pouring rain). Not any damage to any of my furniture and no water was on any fixtures etc. If you are looking for a Professional moving company and outstanding movers, Ayer Moving and Storage is #1.
We moved from MA to VA and these folks made it practically painless! The packers were especially great. They were careful and efficient; I had no concerns about breakage after seeing the job they did. The office staff was great and answered all our questions without delay.
From Boston to San Diego, Ayer Moving & Storage was amazing. They were able to answer all of our annoying little questions along the way and from pick up to delivery everything went smoothly and right on schedule. The workers worked hard getting our items from our third floor walkup down to the truck, and not one item was damaged in the move. I used Ayer Moving and Storage to move my family a few months back and was very pleased with their service. I obtained quotes from a couple different moving companies, but was by far the most impressed with the initial meeting/estimate process provided by Brian from Ayer Moving. He was extremely professional, honest, not pushy and was very detailed and spot-on in his estimate process and delivery making the decision a no-brainer.
